Rose Falooda
One of my favorite childhood sweet treats is rose falooda with vermicelli noodles and basil seeds. I created a simple and healthier version of this. No additional sugar added.
Ingredients
- 2 scoops premium rose ice cream
- 1 tbsp basil seeds (tukmaria) soaked
- 1/2 cup falooda sev (corn vermicelli) cooked
- 1 Karachi fruit biscuit optional
- 1 tsp edible rose petals optional
Instructions
- Soak basil seeds in water for at least 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Cook falooda sev according to package. Set aside.
- Take 2 scoops of rose ice cream and set aside at room temperature.
- Take a clear glass and add in the basil seeds, falooda sev and 2 scoops of ice cream (in that order).
- Garnish with edible rose petals and Karachi fruit biscuit.
- Enjoy immediately!
Notes
If you don’t have basil seeds you can use chia seeds. You can find the falooda sev, basil seeds and Karachi fruit biscuit at any Indian grocery store. I purchased the edible rose petals from World Market. You can use any rose flavor ice cream.
