Za’atar Roasted Tomato Flatbread
Za'atar is a savory Middle Eastern spice that goes well with olive oil and tomatoes. I used Lavash (Middle Eastern flatbread) as the base to make this. It is Jain friendly and you can serve this with olives, hummus or any dips.
Servings: 8 pieces
Ingredients
- 2 lavash flatbread
- 5 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes sliced thinly
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp za'atar
Instructions
- Sprinkle sea salt and 1 tablespoon olive oil on tomatoes. Set aside.
- Spread remaining olive oil on each lavash bread. Add tomatoes and za'atar.
- Bake in oven at 400°F for 5 minutes.
- Serve warm.
