Spicy Queso
This recipe is made without any onion or garlic. It is great to have with tortilla chips, nachos or with any Mexican dishes. Made wiith simple ingredients with so much flavor.

- 12 oz evaporated milk
- 8 oz pepperjack cheese grated
- 2 oz cheddar cheese grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp milk to thin out
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper ground
- 2 tbsp serranos or jalapeƱos diced
- 1 tbsp chopped tomatoes for garnish
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnish
In a saucepan, heat evaporated milk over medium-high heat.
Add in cornstarch and give it a whisk.
Lower heat, add in grated cheese in batches. Continue whisking until all cheese is fully melted.
Add in serranos or jalapeƱos. Give it a stir.
Add in spices and seasonings. Give it a stir.
If queso consistency is too thick, use milk to thin it out until you get desired consistency.
Turn off heat. Add queso in a serving bowl and add your garnishes - chopped cilantro and chopped tomatoes.
