Spicy Marinara Pasta

This recipe uses store bought ingredients and comes together very quickly.

Ingredients

  • 28 oz arrabbiata sauce Rao's homemade
  • 1 package rigatoni or choice of pasta
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp red crushed pepper
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, take store bought spicy marinara sauce and let it cook on medium heat.
  • Add your seasonings and spices as mentioned.
  • Add in your cooked pasta and basil.
  • Give it a stir and continue letting it simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
  • Turn off stove. Place pasta in a serving bowl. Garnish with remaining basil and freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Notes

I used Parmesan cheese made with microbial rennet from Whole Foods.
