Spicy Avocado Hummus

Combining my love for guacamole and hummus! This recipe is vegan, gluten free and can be made jain friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup cooked chickpeas
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 3 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 lime juice
  • 2 jalapeno
  • 2-3 cloves garlic (optional)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin coriander

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a Vitamix or similar type of blender.
  • Garnish with jalapeno slices, olive oil and paprika.

Notes

You can use canned chickpeas for a shortcut. However, I soak my chickpeas overnight. 
Remove the garlic and this is jain friendly. Also, use gluten free pita chips, veggies or spread on gluten free toast to make it completely gluten free.
