Sesame Shishito Peppers

This is an Asian inspired side dish that goes well with noodles or curries.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shishito peppers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Heat a pan with olive oil.
  • Sautée shishito peppers until they start blistering.
  • Sprinkle sea salt and black pepper.
  • Turn off heat. Then add in toasted sesame oil.
  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

I kept my shishito peppers in the fridge for at least 5 days and it turned orange. It doesn't taste any different than the green ones but I like the colorful peppers.
