I love New York bagels. This is a simple and easy way to make NY style bagels at home along with my favorite type of cream cheese.

Ingredients
Jalapeño Cream Cheese
1jalapeñodiced
8oz cream cheese
New York Style Bagel
1pizza dough
1tspeverything but the Bagel Seasoningoptional
1tbspolive oil
4cupswater
1tspsalt
Instructions
Jalapeño Cream Cheese
Stir in diced jalapeños to softened cream cheese.
Store in airtight container in the refrigerator.
New York Style Bagel
Let the pizza dough rest for 20 minutes.
Preheat oven at 450° F.
Make a few dough balls. Punch your thumb at the center of each dough ball and stretch it until you get a bagel shape.
Boil water on medium heat. Add in salt.
Add in two bagels at a time. Boil each side for a minute.
After 2 minutes, remove the bagels with a spatula.
Grease a baking pan with oil.
Line up the bagels on a greased pan and sprinkle everything but the bagel seasoning or keep it plain.
Bake in oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
Slice bagel in half and spread jalapeño cream cheese.
Notes
I used Philadelphia original cream cheese. I also used Trader Joe's pizza dough which is vegan. I also used Trader Joe's everything but the bagel seasoning. Best served when warm.
