Masala Popcorn

A flavorful twist to traditional butter popcorn. I used ghee to give this more flavor and created my own masala blend to sprinkle on top.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 popcorn kernels organic
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
  • Add a few kernels to pan with lid on to see if it is ready. If kernels pop, then add in remaining kernels. Make sure lid is on the pan.
  • After the kernels all pop, turn off heat.
  • Add in masala blend and mix well.
  • You can store in airtight container for a few days.
