Jain Salsa Verde

This green salsa is Jain friendly and great to have with Mexican dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound tomatillos
  • 1-2 serrano peppers
  • 1/2 cup coriander
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Remove tomatillos from husk.
  • Boil in water on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Drain water and set tomatillos aside.
  • In a food processor, blend all ingredients.
  • Store salsa verde in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

You can also roast tomatillos in the oven to get a more smoky flavor vs. boiling.
