Jain Methi Dhebra (Flatbread)

This is my mom's recipe. She is an amazing cook. It is a jain recipe and great to eat with dahi (yogurt), achaar (mango pickle) or have with Indian masala tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch methi (fenugreek leaves) washed and cut
  • 1 bunch spinach washed and cut
  • 6 green chilies diced
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp achaar masala to taste
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp dahi (yogurt)

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients until you form a dough.
  • Separate dough into small round balls and roll out into a circular motion until you get flatbread consistency
  • Pan fry the flatbread on both sides with oil.
  • Serve warm or store in airtight container.
