Jain Masala Pav

Perfect for the holidays and great way to use leftover pav or buns. This is recipe is Jain friendly.

Ingredients

  • 6 buns chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 green chili
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 2 tbsp Pav Bhaji masala
  • 2 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • shredded amul cheese optional

Instructions

  • In a pan, on medium heat, melt butter. Once butter is melted, add ginger and green chili.
  • Add tomatoes, bell peppers and spices as mentioned. Let the tomatoes cook down until it is a thick gravy. Add in cilantro.
  • Add in the chopped buns and mix well.
  • Turn off heat. Serve with shredded amul cheese.

Notes

I used Pav Bhaji Buns from Costco. You can find Pav Bhaji masala from the local Indian store.
