Instant Idli

What if you could make idli from scratch without any soaking or fermentation? Well, you can and it tastes so good.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 cup urad dal
  • 1 cup yogurt (dahi)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp ENO fruit salt

Instructions

  • Grind the rice and ural dal dry in a Vitamix or food processor.
  • Add in yogurt, salt, ENO fruit salt and oil.
  • Pour batter in idli molds.
  • Steam in Instant Pot for 10 minutes.
  • Idli should be soft and ready to eat. Serve with coconut chutney or sambhar.

No soaking or fermentation required.
