Homemade Strawberry Jam
This is a 3 ingredient jam that goes great on sandwiches, crackers, cookie filling or even ice cream. You will never want to buy store bought jam after making this.

Ingredients

pound
strawberries
fresh

cup
sugar

tbsp
lemon juice
fresh
1/2
tsp
lemon zest
optional
Instructions
Wash and slice strawberries, removing hulls and green stems.
Using a saucepan, add sliced strawberries and sugar.
Cook until mixture reaches a full boil.
Add in lemon juice and lemon zest. Stir well.
Use potato masher to mash strawberries. Continue stirring.
Turn off stove and pour in mason jar.
Let it cool completely before covering mason jar.
Store in refrigerator.
Notes
This jam stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. No pectin required.
