Homemade Red Chili Flakes
Using harvested red cayenne peppers from my garden, I sun dried them first, then dehydrated them in my oven.

Wash and clean your red cayenne peppers.
Using a paper towel, dry them. Remove the stems off.
Place them on a platter and leave them outside to sun dry for most of the day. You can place a paper towel on them to prevent any debris falling.
You can also use a toaster oven with a "dehydrate" setting for 4-6 hours at 135℉.
Once they have dried completely and are crunchy, you can use a spice/ coffee grinder or a mortar and pestle to make red chili flakes.
Alternatively, you can make red chili powder if you continue to grind the peppers finely.
Store in an airtight spice jar.
