Eggless Mozzarella Sticks

These mozzarella sticks would make for a great appetizer. Enjoy with your favorite marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 16 oz mozzarella cheese block
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup panko
  • water as needed
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  • Cut mozzarella cheese block into 1 inch sticks. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, add all purpose flour, Italian seasoning, corn starch, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Add water slowly and mix well to prepare batter. The batter should not be too thick nor too thin.
  • In another bowl, put panko crumbs.
  • Take cold mozzarella sticks and place in batter. Coat well and then place in panko crumbs. Coat evenly and set aside.
  • Prepare oil for deep frying the sticks.
  • Fry until golden brown.
  • Enjoy with your favorite marinara sauce.
