Cranberry Sauce

This is perfect for Thanksgiving! It tastes and smells just like fall with warm spices.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz cranberries fresh
  • 1/4 cup orange juice fresh
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • pinch of salt
  • orange zest garnish

Instructions

  • Wash and rinse your cranberries.
  • In a pot, add all the ingredients as mentioned. Let is simmer for 10 minutes on medium to low heat, continuously stirring. Use the back of your spatula to mash the cranberries.
  • The sauce will thicken. I like to keep a few whole pieces of cranberries in my sauce.
  • Turn off heat and transfer to a bowl. Let it cool before storing in refrigerator.
  • Before serving, garnish with orange zest.
