Cranberry Sauce
This is perfect for Thanksgiving! It tastes and smells just like fall with warm spices.

- 12 oz cranberries fresh
- 1/4 cup orange juice fresh
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- pinch of salt
- orange zest garnish
Wash and rinse your cranberries.
In a pot, add all the ingredients as mentioned. Let is simmer for 10 minutes on medium to low heat, continuously stirring. Use the back of your spatula to mash the cranberries.
The sauce will thicken. I like to keep a few whole pieces of cranberries in my sauce.
Turn off heat and transfer to a bowl. Let it cool before storing in refrigerator.
Before serving, garnish with orange zest.
