
Walnut Date Banana Shake
This creamy vegan shake is a great for natural energy boost, added nutrition and helps with gut and brain health. It is important to soak the walnuts overnight which helps with nutrient absorption.
Ingredients
- 2 cups almond milk unsweetened
- 7-10 walnuts soaked
- 1 banana ripened
- 1-2 dates pitted
- 1 tsp cardamom ground
- pinch of saffron
- 1 cup ice
- 1/2 tsp dried rose petals for garnish
Instructions
- Soak walnuts overnight. Discard water in the morning.
- In a blender, take ripen banana, pitted dates, soaked walnuts, cardamom, saffron, almond milk and ice. Blend until creamy and smooth.
- Garnish with dried rose petals.
Notes
Make sure to use ripened bananas and to soak walnuts overnight. I love adding cardamom and saffron for added flavor. You can use any dairy-free milk but I prefer using unsweetened almond milk with this recipe.
