Spicy Marinara Pasta
This recipe uses store bought ingredients and comes together very quickly.
Ingredients
- 28 oz arrabbiata sauce Rao's homemade
- 1 package rigatoni or choice of pasta
- 1/4 cup basil leaves
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp red crushed pepper
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp parmesan cheese grated
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, take store bought spicy marinara sauce and let it cook on medium heat.
- Add your seasonings and spices as mentioned.
- Add in your cooked pasta and basil.
- Give it a stir and continue letting it simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
- Turn off stove. Place pasta in a serving bowl. Garnish with remaining basil and freshly grated parmesan cheese.
Notes
I used Parmesan cheese made with microbial rennet from Whole Foods.
