Sesame Shishito Peppers
This is an Asian inspired side dish that goes well with noodles or curries.
Ingredients
- 1 cup shishito peppers
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat a pan with olive oil.
- Sautée shishito peppers until they start blistering.
- Sprinkle sea salt and black pepper.
- Turn off heat. Then add in toasted sesame oil.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
Notes
I kept my shishito peppers in the fridge for at least 5 days and it turned orange. It doesn’t taste any different than the green ones but I like the colorful peppers.
