Seasoned Garlic Knots with Spicy Marinara
One of my favorite Italian appetizers is garlic knots. I created my own seasoned version which is simple and easy to make.
Ingredients
Seasoned Garlic Knots
- 1 Trader Joe's Pizza Dough
- 6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 3-4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Spicy Marinara
- 1 cup Rao's Home Arrabbiata sauce
- 1 tbsp red chili flakes
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Seasoned Garlic Knots
- Thaw pizza dough according to package. Take pieces of the dough, roll each piece into 5-6 inches and tie them into "knots". Set aside.
- Mix the oil, butter, garlic and seasonings.
- Brush the oil mixture on the "knots".
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 350° F until brown.
- Brush the remaining oil mixture and serve immediately.
Spicy Marinara
- Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan.
- Warm the sauce on stovetop for a 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Notes
I used Lucini Premium EVOO.
