Paneer Corn Capsicum Masala Toasties
This recipe is part of my Back to School Series. It is a flavorful and colorful snack that kids will love. It is loaded with cheese and veggies. It will help introduce Indian spices to kids.
Ingredients
- 1 packet bread
- 1 block paneer cubes
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup cheese
- 1 cup bell peppers
- 1 cup sweet corn kernels
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili powder to taste
- 1 tsp black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp salt to taste
- 1 tsp cumin coriander powder to taste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder to taste
- 1 tsp chaat masala garnish
Instructions
- Use a round cookie cutter or a rim of a glass to cut bread into circles. Set aside.
- Using a non-stick pan, sauté paneer, corn and capsicum (bell peppers) with olive oil and spices.
- Spread butter on the bread.
- Then spread ketchup on the bread.
- Layer on seasoned paneer and veggies.
- Sprinkle cheese.
- Place in toaster oven until cheese has melted and bread is toasted brown.
- Garnish with chaat masala.
Notes
I used Amul cheese but you can also use mozzarella cheese. You can also add any other veggies your kids like. Your kids can also use any cookie cutters they have to make any shape they want.
