Crispy Baked Avocado Fries with Vegan Spicy Mayo
This recipe makes for a healthy appetizer or side dish for your next gathering. It is completely vegan and jain friendly.
Ingredients
- 1 avocado
- 1 tbsp Trader Joe's Bomba sauce
- 2 tbsp Sir Kensington's Fabanaise
- 2 tbsp chickpea flour
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp panko bread crumbs
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp red crushed pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
For the Vegan Spicy Mayo
- Mix both the Bomba sauce and Fabanaise together
For the Avocado Fries
- Preheat the oven at 350° F.
- Peel and slice the avocado.
- Take the chickpea flour and water. Mix well to form batter. Set aside.
- Add all the seasoning to the panko. Set aside.
- Take the sliced avocado and mix in chickpea batter and then coat with the seasoned panko.
- Grease baking sheet with oil. Bake the avocado for 15 minutes and then broil 2 minutes until brown.
- Enjoy the crispy, baked avocado fries with the spicy vegan mayo dipping sauce.
Notes
This recipe is vegan. However, it can be made gluten free by using gluten free breadcrumbs.
