Cranberry Sauce
This is perfect for Thanksgiving! It tastes and smells just like fall with warm spices.
Ingredients
- 12 oz cranberries fresh
- 1/4 cup orange juice fresh
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- pinch of salt
- orange zest garnish
Instructions
- Wash and rinse your cranberries.
- In a pot, add all the ingredients as mentioned. Let is simmer for 10 minutes on medium to low heat, continuously stirring. Use the back of your spatula to mash the cranberries.
- The sauce will thicken. I like to keep a few whole pieces of cranberries in my sauce.
- Turn off heat and transfer to a bowl. Let it cool before storing in refrigerator.
- Before serving, garnish with orange zest.
