Eggless Mozzarella Sticks
These mozzarella sticks would make for a great appetizer. Enjoy with your favorite marinara sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 16 oz mozzarella cheese block
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 cup panko
- water as needed
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut mozzarella cheese block into 1 inch sticks. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, add all purpose flour, Italian seasoning, corn starch, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Add water slowly and mix well to prepare batter. The batter should not be too thick nor too thin.
- In another bowl, put panko crumbs.
- Take cold mozzarella sticks and place in batter. Coat well and then place in panko crumbs. Coat evenly and set aside.
- Prepare oil for deep frying the sticks.
- Fry until golden brown.
- Enjoy with your favorite marinara sauce.
