Apple Turnovers
A delicious homemade apple filling that is baked inside a puff pastry triangle topped off with a glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 package puff pastry sheets thawed
- 1 1/2 cups apple pie filling
- 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
- 3 tbsp heavy whipping cream or milk for glaze
Instructions
- Thaw frozen puff pastry sheet according to package. Unfold and trim each sheet into squares.
- Use my homemade apple pie filling (recipe on blog).
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Take a spoonful of apple filling and place in center of sheet.
- Fold over from corner to corner into a triangle shape.
- Seal edges using the back of a fork.
- Place turnover onto a parchment lined baking tray.
- Bake in oven for 25 minutes until turnovers are puffed and golden brown.
- Let it cool and prepare glaze.
- To make glaze, mix together powdered sugar with heavy whipping cream or milk. Adjust the consistency as necessary. Drizzle glaze over the turnovers.
