Jain Spicy Thai Basil Noodles
This is a delicious recipe that has no onion no garlic but has lots of flavor. It super easy to make with the right ingredients on hand.
Ingredients
- 1 packet rice noodles
- 1/2 cup corn
- 1 cup thai basil
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Sauce
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos or dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sambal oelek (chili paste)
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package. Set aside.
- In a sauce pan on medium heat, whisk together all the ingredients listed under sauce.
- Add in the cooked rice noodles and corn. Cook for 2-5 minutes until it is all well coated in sauce.
- Turn off heat and stir in Thai basil.
- Serve immediately and garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
Notes
I used organic Thai brown rice noodles from the brand Explore Cuisine found at Costco. If you cannot find Thai basil, you can use regular basil.
