Spicy Masala Corn

This is a Jain friendly recipe that is so flavorful and would make for a great side dish or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sweet corn kernels frozen
  • 2 cups water for boiling
  • 1 tbsp Amul butter salted
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate
  • 1 serrano pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil water on medium heat in a saucepan.
  • Add turmeric to boiled water.
  • Then add in frozen sweet corn and let it boil until tender.
  • Turn off stove. Use a strainer to drain out the water.
  • Place the sweet corn kernels back in the saucepan.
  • Add in Amul butter and it will melt into the warm sweet corn.
  • Add in chaat masala, red chili powder, and serrano peppers. Mix well.
  • Place masala corn in a serving bowl.
  • Add in pomegranate and squeeze lemon juice. Mix well.
  • Garnish with cilantro.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

This recipe serves 1 but you can adjust accordingly.
