Spicy Masala Corn
This is a Jain friendly recipe that is so flavorful and would make for a great side dish or snack.
Servings: 1 person
Ingredients
- 1 cup sweet corn kernels frozen
- 2 cups water for boiling
- 1 tbsp Amul butter salted
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 cup pomegranate
- 1 serrano pepper finely chopped
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Boil water on medium heat in a saucepan.
- Add turmeric to boiled water.
- Then add in frozen sweet corn and let it boil until tender.
- Turn off stove. Use a strainer to drain out the water.
- Place the sweet corn kernels back in the saucepan.
- Add in Amul butter and it will melt into the warm sweet corn.
- Add in chaat masala, red chili powder, and serrano peppers. Mix well.
- Place masala corn in a serving bowl.
- Add in pomegranate and squeeze lemon juice. Mix well.
- Garnish with cilantro.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
This recipe serves 1 but you can adjust accordingly.
