Masala Spaghetti
Very simple and easy recipe full of flavor. Great way to get your mixed veggies in too. I have suggestions in notes to make it Jain friendly.
Ingredients
- 1/2 box spaghetti
- 1/4 cup arrabbiata sauce
- 1 cup mixed veggies frozen
- 1 red onion diced
- 1 – 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
Instructions
- Boil spaghetti according to package.
- Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- In a pan, sauté minced garlic and onions in olive oil until translucent.
- Add in mixed veggies. Continue to sauté.
- Sprinkle some salt while it is cooking.
- Add in your boiled spaghetti.
- Add in garam masala.
- Add in arrabbiata or tomato sauce.
- Mix well.
- Turn off stove. Serve and enjoy warm.
Notes
I used tricolor spaghetti from Trader Joes but you can use plain spaghetti. To make Jain friendly, skip the onion and garlic and use my Jain pasta sauce recipes or tomato sauce. You can also skip carrots if strict.
