Rainbow Rice Krispie Treats
This is an easy, no-bake recipe that is a crowd pleaser for those with a sweet tooth. Only a few ingredients needed.
Servings: 12 pieces
Ingredients
- 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 3 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
- 3 tbsp butter salted
- 10 oz marshmallows vegan
Instructions
- Line baking dish with parchment paper.
- Using a dutch oven or pot, melt butter on low heat.
- Once butter is melted, add in the marshmallows.
- It will take 10 minutes on low heat for the marshmallows to melt.
- Turn off heat.
- Add in the cereal and gently fold in to make sure it is well coated.
- Pour mixture in the lined baking dish.
- Coat spatula with butter. Using the coated spatula, gently press mixture in pan.
- Let it set in pan for 1 hour.
- Once cooled, cut pieces and store in airtight container.
Notes
You can find vegan marshmallows at Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. Store treats in an air tight container in cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate. Treats will be good for up to 3 days. You can use vegan butter to make recipe completely vegan. This recipe calls for salted butter. I used a 9 x 13 pan.
